Hi everyone,
Very Fine Day has been running for almost three months now. In that time, I have published 10 editions with some of the internet’s truly fascinating people. I am better for having spoken to them all, and I hope you feel somewhat the same for having read each edition.
But we’re at a point now where I need to make a slight change.
Initially, Very Fine Day was a project created to shoehorn into my life.
I wanted to create something, but I didn’t want a project I couldn’t keep up with.
So I landed on the idea of an interview newsletter, published once a week, requiring little work from me other than a conversation and a few hours of cleaning up.
And that’s what I got.
The original plan featured me releasing VFD in seasons. Ten weeks and ten editions. Then a break of up to two months. Then a new season all over again.
But I don’t think that’s how I want to run things.
Really, what I didn’t expect was to enjoy it as much as I do.
And so, I am writing to tell you that I plan to continue VFD into the future without a pause.
I’m sorry if you were looking forward to a month of peace and quiet while I took a break – but I don’t think I need it. And I certainly don’t want it.
What’s next for VFD?
As far as your inbox is concerned, nothing much is going to change (for now).
I have some fascinating new guests lined up, and I’ll also be looking to expand the circle of people I talk to. You’ll still be getting that weekly email :)
As always, if you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to let me know. Just reply to this email – or DM me on Twitter.
I have a few ideas about how to move forward outside of the realm of the weekly VFD. But I’ll be talking to my paid subscribers and running potential expansions by them before I blurt anything crazy out into the world.
You can become a paid supporter by following this button. It would make my year to see you there.
How to catch up on previous editions of VFD.
I know many of you haven’t been around since Day One. I’m not holding any grudges. But it does mean you may have missed out on previous editions, and some of the early ones were really fantastic. I ain’t just saying that.

It’s free – and I’ll frantically rush to thank you, too 😄
